Save the Date! Kites & Castles returns Saturday, July 25, 2026.

Join us at Lake McConaughy for a fun, family-friendly day of sandcastle building, creativity, summer sunshine, and community fun.

This annual event invites families, kids, students, and creative beachgoers to build sand sculptures and enjoy a day at the lake.

Event Date: Saturday, July 25, 2026
Location: Swim beach west of the low water boat ramp in Martin Bay
Registration Begins: 11:00 AM
Sculpting Begins: 12:00 PM
Judging Begins: 4:00 PM
Prizes Awarded: 5:00 PM

This is a free event, but a Nebraska Game & Parks Pass is required to access the beach.
