Lake Mac Casino Resort & Racetrack is seeking a Cook Level III who will play a key role in supporting kitchen operations and assisting the Draft Day Manager in the day-to-day functioning of the kitchen.

The Cook III must maintain strong knowledge of kitchen equipment, food preparation techniques, and all kitchen stations while helping ensure high-quality food service and an excellent guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare daily prep lists and assist with menu planning
• Support both long-term and short-term kitchen planning
• Ensure culinary operations follow Executive Chef direction
• Recommend recipes for upcoming menu changes
• Maintain awareness of guest wait times and help reduce delays
• Delegate tasks and support kitchen teamwork
• Prepare food according to standard recipes and presentation standards
• Taste food to verify preparation, temperature, and quality
• Work alongside staff to cook, plate, and assemble food
• Maintain food quality, temperature, and presentation standards
• Follow food cost control procedures
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and work areas
• Restock food and kitchen supplies as needed
• Report maintenance issues to kitchen leadership
• Support teamwork and communication across departments
• Maintain health department and safety standards

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food preparation
• Ability to work in all kitchen stations

• Strong attention to detail and food quality
