Join us for one of Lake McConaughy’s favorite summer traditions on Saturday, July 25, 2026. Gather your family, friends or team and see what you can create in the sand!

Registration begins at 11:00 a.m.
Sculpting begins at noon
Event concludes at 5:00 p.m.

West of the low-water boat ramp

COME PREPARED FOR THE HEAT

Kites & Castles has always been a warm-weather event, and this year will be no exception. Water will be available, and participants are encouraged to come prepared for a hot day at the lake.

Please consider bringing:

• Plenty of drinking water
• Hats and lightweight, protective clothing
• A pop-up tent or umbrella for shade
• Cooling towels or portable fans
• Chairs and anything else your group needs to stay comfortable

Take breaks whenever needed and help keep an eye on everyone in your group.

Whether you’re building an elaborate sand sculpture or simply coming to see the creativity, we look forward to another memorable day at Lake McConaughy!
